Directors

Tim Leyland is the Chair of Trustees and a veterinarian with 28 years of development experience in Africa, Asia and the Pacific regions. He has particular interests in veterinary and livestock policy, legislation, evaluations, training, livestock related emergencies, welfare and trade. He currently resides in New Zealand where he manages his own livestock using sustainable farming practices and carries out consultancy work.

David Hadrill is a veterinarian who has lived and worked in India, the Caribbean, Somalia, Mongolia and Ethiopia. He has worked as consultant trainer, evaluator or technical specialist in many countries specialising in disaster relief, disease control and community-based animal health care.

Sarah Morgan is a veterinarian whose interests include animal welfare and overseas aid. Sarah has worked in Mozambique for VetAid, run a veterinary practice in Suffolk UK, and now resides in Norfolk and continues to work in veterinary practice.

Karen Reed is a veterinarian  who has lived and worked in Nepal and Jordan. Her interests currently focus on international animal welfare; she has worked for 15 years supporting working equine programmes, mainly in Africa, and now works with international dog population management projects.

Simon Mack is a livestock specialist who worked for FAO for seventeen years, with his last position being Chief Animal Production Officer.  Simon has been a freelance consultant for several years and his special interests include the contribution of small-scale agriculture to food security, poverty alleviation, animal welfare and livestock in emergencies and natural disasters.

 

Management & Administration

Suzan Bishop is the Chief Executive Officer and a veterinarian whose interests include community-based animal health care and service delivery, and working animal welfare. She is based in the UK, after 15 years of living and working abroad in a number of countries including Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan and Bolivia. She is also a freelance consultant.

Lucy Margetts is a bookkeeper and office administrator looking after the day to day administration and budget control for Vetwork UK as well as bookkeeping for a number of small, local businesses.  She lives on a smallholding in North Essex raising rare breed cattle & poultry.
